Evo Japan 2024 is taking place this weekend, and there will be a ton of different events and activities all weekend long that will set this year’s event apart from Evo Japans of the past. If you’re attending the event in person, we put together a list of some of the things you can expect to find and do on the show floor this year!

Get a picture with ROHTO Z! Man

ROHTO returns as the title sponsor for Evo Japan 2024, which means the legendary ROHTO Z! Man will be in attendance once again. Visit the ROHTO booth to meet him, learn about some of ROHTO’s pharmaceutical products, or relax on their “ROHTO Z!” sofa. The official Evo Japan merchandise booth will also have a selection of official ROHTO Z! Man merchandise available for purchase.

Meet and play pros at the Qiddiya Legends Lounge

Stop by the Qiddiya Legends Lounge on Day 1 and Day 2 of Evo Japan for a number of fighting game activities featuring Street Fighter 6, TEKKEN 8 and Guilty Gear -Strive-!

The Qiddiya Legends Lounge will give attendees a chance to participate in Play-a-Pro Challenges and Meet and Greets with some of your favorite fighting game champions! The Legends being featured during the event are:

If that wasn’t enough, the Qiddiya Legends Lounge will also feature an Exhibition Tournament showcasing some of these fighters. They will be fighting for the coveted Qiddiya Legends trophy!

Fighting game fans are in for a treat this weekend. You can watch legendary battles, test yourself against some of the world’s best and even get a signed poster, all this at the Qiddiya Legends Lounge booth! Be sure to check the booth daily for the detailed schedule of events and stay up to date on all the action via @qiddiyagaming and drop into Discord for more content.

Try out SNK’s upcoming game, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves

The team at SNK recently revealed gameplay for the latest installment in the FATAL FURY series and announced that the game will be released in early 2025! Visit their booth at Evo Japan to get your hands on FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves and be one of the first to try the game! Before you jump in, make sure to read the Demo Play Guide that SNK put together to explain the game’s controls, mechanics, and new REV system.

If you’re participating in the KING OF FIGHTERS XV tournament at Evo Japan 2024, you can also pick up a free KOFXV T-shirt by visiting the SNK booth on Day 1 of the event while supplies last.

Participate in Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 Winner Streak Challenge

The Capcom booth will be hosting a Street Fighter 6 Winner Streak Challenge, where you can play against other attendees and attempt to win five matches in a row and receive an exclusive Street Fighter 6 Akuma T-shirt! A collection of artwork stickers of different Street Fighter 6 characters will also be handed out for every match you participate in.

Test the next Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising character early at the Cygames booth

The developers of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising revealed that the game’s upcoming DLC character, Beatrix, will be playable at Evo Japan 2024! You can give her a try before she releases in May by heading to the Cygames booth, where you can also browse their selection of merchandise.

Play the upcoming Riot Games title, 2XKO

The team behind Riot Games’ 2XKO (formerly Project L) will have a booth at Evo Japan where you can try the game out for yourself! Earlier this week they revealed a gameplay reveal trailer for Illaoi, one of the game’s previously revealed characters, and confirmed that she would be playable in their demo at Evo Japan. Stop by the Riot Games booth to give her a try along with the game’s previously revealed characters, Darius, Ekko, Ahri, and Yasuo!

Challenge ARC WORLD TOUR Champion Verix at the Arc System Works booth

On Day 1 and Day 2 of Evo Japan 2024, head over to the Arc System Works booth to watch exhibition matches between top Guilty Gear -Strive players, including Verix, the winner of the ARC WORLD TOUR 2023. You can also participate in their GGST Kumite event, where you can battle against Verix or an Official Guilty Gear Ambassador to test your skills in Guilty Gear -Strive-!

Arc System Works will also be a giveaway event with a variety of prizes exclusively for members of their official fan club, Team ARC. For more information, see the full announcement on their website.

Show off your fighting game cosplay skills

Evo Japan will have multiple opportunities to showcase your love for fighting game character cosplay this year! On Day 1 and Day 2 of the event, head to the cosplay area at the scheduled time to join in a Cosplay Parade, where participants will walk around the venue together in their costumes. There will also be prize giveaways for participating.

In addition, Evo Japan 2024 will be hosting a Cosplay Contest with guest judges Kaori Horiuchi, VampyBitMe, and ONESAYA! There will be two opportunities to submit your cosplay to the competition at the event, and finalists will showcase their cosplays on the Cosplay Stage on Day 2 for a chance to win a trip to Evo Las Vegas 2024! Pick up some exclusive Evo Japan merchandise

Last week, the Evo Japan team unveiled the lineup of exclusive merchandise for this year's event. Stop by the Evo Japan booth to grab yourself some goods including the official Evo Japan 2024 T-shirt designed by Rensuke Oshikiri, the creator of the fighting game manga Hi Score Girl and the reversible Evo Japan souvenir jacket from renowned fighting game artist hungry_clicker!
