Road to Evo 2025 on PlayStation Tournaments

There are many paths to becoming a fighting game “world champion,” but only one will take you on the official Road to Evo.

For 2025, PlayStation Tournaments is, once again, bringing back its popular tournament event, Road to Evo, for both casual gamers and enthusiasts on PS5. Sign up to compete in these limited-time tournaments and face off against the best fighting game players in your region to score a travel package to our main event in Las Vegas.

Evo’s global community of fighting game players are encouraged to enter PlayStation Tournaments: Road to Evo for a chance to win cash prizes, in addition to the coveted grand prize: a 3-Day Competitor Event Badge to compete at Evo 2025 in Las Vegas, a comprehensive hospitality package (includes hotel accommodations, food allowance, and a round-trip flight), and $300 in cash.

Players who participate in PlayStation Tournaments: Road to Evo 2025 are invited to compete in four games across five regions:

Guilty Gear™ -Strive-	NA, EU, APAC N
Mortal Kombat 1	NA, EU, LATAM
FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves	NA, EU, APAC N, LATAM, MENA

Over its two-decade-plus history, Evo has maintained a focus on celebrating the "competitive spirit” in its tournaments. That tradition continues on with PlayStation Tournaments: Road to Evo, inviting players from all backgrounds and skill levels to try their hands at FGC glory. It doesn’t matter who you main so long as you enter your chosen arena to battle it out in a test of skills and fight your way to the top of the global stage.

Last year, around 10,000 competitors from across the globe descended upon Las Vegas to compete at Evo. Of that number, 17 were able to make the trek and live out their pro-gaming dreams thanks to PlayStation Tournaments: Road to Evo. Follow their journeys below and watch as these 17 world champion hopefuls embrace this "life-changing opportunity" and attempt to leave their legacies on the main stage.

Road to Evo 2025 Prizes

1st Place	Evo 2025 Hospitality Package* + $300
2nd Place	$200
3rd to 4th Place	$100
5th to 8th Place	$50

*Includes round-trip flight, hotel accommodations, food allowance, ground transportation (to and from airport), and 3-day competitor event badge. Players must have a valid visa and agree to additional terms to claim the prize.

All Competitor Event Badges provide entry to Evo Las Vegas 2025. Each badge includes access to the show floor and all event activities, including first-come, first-served general admission access to the Arena Finals Experience. A commemorative lanyard and water bottle will be included when you pick up your badge on-site at the event Registration Desk.

Road to Evo 2025 Tournament Details

Players who enter Road to Evo 2025 will need to compete in an initial round of Open Qualifiers on PS5, before moving on to the Closed Finals. One lucky winner from each of the Closed Finals will then travel to Evo 2025 in Las Vegas this August for a chance to claim the title of World Champion.

PlayStation Tournaments: Road to Evo 2025 begins May 11 and runs until May 31, 2025.
Players who win their respective Qualifier rounds on PS5 will receive an invite to compete in the Closed Finals which will be held June 13-15, 2025.

The winner of the Closed Finals will receive a trip plus tickets to Evo 2025 in Las Vegas this August 1 - 3.
