The Guilty Gear -Strive- Top 6 is underway, with Arc System Works unveiling its Season Pass 4 roadmap. This season promises returning characters Dizzy and Venom alongside newcomers Unika and Lucy from Cyberpunk Edgerunners, the Team of 3 mode, and more. The Top 6 players are now in the spotlight, battling it out for the third Guilty Gear -Strive- Evo Championship title. JACK, NITRO, TATUMA, OOEYGOOEYCHEWYSNICKER, ZANDO, and REDDITTO are all vying for the coveted trophy and the Arc World Tour 2024 Platinum Event victory.

The winners semifinal kicks off with JACK and NITRO, each armed with Happy Chaos and Giovanna, respectively. NITRO dominates the stage, using every opportunity to close the gap and rushdown JACK. Their relentless pressure leads to a perfect win in the second round of Game 1. In Game 2, NITRO maintains the momentum, pushing JACK into a corner. Just when victory seemed inevitable for NITRO, JACK fights back, winning their first Game and leveling the score to 2:2.

NITRO is determined to secure a spot in the winners finals, delivering a perfect round. But JACK is not ready to concede, pushing the winners semifinal to the final round of the final game. The entire arena is on the edge of their seats as both players engage in a high-octane battle. In the end, NITRO emerges victorious and advances to the winners finals, where they will face the winner of the next match.

TATUMA and OOEYGOOEYCHEWYSNICKERS follow up the phenomenal winners semifinal with Sol Badguy and Anji Nito, respectively. In each game, the opposing player took total control of the match, taking a win with near full health. Whenever one player got off a combo, it sealed the fate of the round. TATUMA and OOEYGOOEYCHEWYSNICKERS went to the final Game with a 2:2 score, but TATUMA decided the match with a perfect final round to meet with NITRO in the winners finals.

JACK returned to the stage to compete against REDDITO with Happy Chaos and Ramlethal in the losers quarterfinal. REDDITO countered JACK’s attempts to set up and close the gap during the first Game, but JACK returned in kind, picking up on REDDITO’s whiffs to take ownership of Game 2. JACK built up momentum for Game 3, while REDDITO tried to hold on to the tournament. It seemed like the pressure built on REDDITO, as they made hasty decisions for JACK to take advantage of. After a few more slips, REDDITO regained composure and evened the score to 2:2, bringing us back to another final Game and a final round. Bringing the match to the very bottom of the line, with pixels between the two players, REDDITO took hold of victory and progressed to the losers semifinal.

The second losers quarterfinal brought OOEYGOOEYCHEWYSNICKER and ZANDO with Anji Mito and Asuka R. Kruetz, respectively. OOEYGOOEYCHEWYSNICKER put up a valiant effort, understanding that to retaliate against Asuka, they had to spend all their resources. Unfortunately, for OOEYGOOEYCHEWYSNICKER, that was not enough. ZANDO’s mastery of Asuka’s toolkit brought immense pressure to OOEYGOOEYCHEWYSNICKER. After a 3:0 victory, ZANDO is headed to the losers semifinal next against REDDITO.

The winners finals commenced with NITRO switching into Jack-o’ and TATUA sticking to Sol Badguy. When NITRO had an opportunity to set up with their minions, they could impact the fight, but TATUMA was relentless, never allowing NITRO the opportunity. When they were at Match point, NITRO clawed back up to take a Game to keep themselves in the winners final. NITRO’s momentum was halted altogether, when TATUA kept the pressure up, earning their way into the Grand Finals to await the victor from the losers bracket.

The losers semifinal brought ZANDO and REDDITTO back to the stage with Asuka R. Kruetz and Ramlethal Valentine. ZANDO kept up the pressure with their plethora of resources, giving REDDITTO a difficult start, but once REDDIT made their way in, it took a lot of work for ZANDO to create space. With every cube thrown, ZANDO got the crowd chanting. With an intense back and forth, REDDITTO earned their way to the losers final, breaking through the onslaught of projectiles sent their way for a nail-biting finish.

New York vs. Los Angeles. NITRO vs REDDITTO. The two competitors faced off to earn their spot in the Grand Finals against TATUMA. NITRO switched back to their Giovanna, and REDDITTO kept their Ramlethal. NITRO was relentless, with near-flawless execution, delivering a swift and definitive victory, earning their way to the Grand Finals to compete against TAMUA for the ultimate prize.

TATUMA headlined the Grand Finals with their Sol Badguy on the winners side, with NITRO returning from the losers side with their Jack-o’ and the runback from the winners finals. NITRO perfectly timed numerous supers to counter TATUMA’s attempts to close the gap. TATUMA needed to be more mindful of when to commit attacks that may leave themselves vulnerable when NITRO’s meter was refilled. Every time TATUMA tried to counter to turn the tide, NITRO was one step ahead with a counter of their own that led to a reset 3:0.

The first game after the rest was over in a blink of an eye. TATUMA is raring to go and ready to take the Evo Championship title. NITRO evens the Match and then takes the lead after the expert reads it. TATUMA wasn’t prepared to give up yet, evening the Match 2:2, and finally, the final round of the final game. In a masterful sequence of reads and executions, NITRO concludes the tournament, becoming the next Guilty Gear -Strive- Evo Champion!
