First off, let's talk about Registration Badge Pickup. You can grab your badge on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, on Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Day Pass ticket sales are available on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The convention is open Friday and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM.

The Friday Showcase returns to bring fighting game insights and entertainment to Day 1 of Evo!

Kicking things off with a bang:

The Friday Showcase starts at 10:00 AM. Rush over to the main stage and grab a seat for the show opening and a surprise-filled panel from our friends at Arc System Works.

Next, get the latest updates on Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising with Cygames starting at 10:55 AM. Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is the highly anticipated follow-up to Granblue Fantasy Versus, coming with new characters, stages, and combat systems, complete with rollback netcode. A preview tournament for GBVSR is taking place at Evo 2023 for players wanting to get their hands on an early look at the game.

Arc System Works returns to the stage at 12:00 PM. Guilty Gear -Strive- has been going strong with two seasons of DLC, new platforms, and crossplay. Dive into Guilty Gear -Strive- at the main stage.

At 12:30 PM, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 takes the platform! Get the latest gameplay breakdown and see what's coming to the world of NASB2! With more characters, stages, modes, and updated mechanics, it's an all-new Nicktoon world!

Next we’ve got a co-founder of Evo, Seth Killian, at 12:40 PM interviewing Mena RD, the world’s only 2x Capcom Cup Champion! Together, they will discuss their history with Street Fighter, tournament experiences, and passion for competitive play.

Next, we’ve got Hidden Variable Studios at 1:10 PM with what’s coming up for the Skullgirls community. The titular Skullgirl, Marie, is finally becoming a playable character after being a boss character since the game’s release in 2012. Brush up on your Evo Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 history at 2:20 PM. UMVC3 Evo champ and holder of the most Evo championships overall, Justin Wong, will guide us through his Top 5 Evo matches on the Main Stage. Whether you saw these matches live or are just now jumping into UMVC3, celebrate the return of this legendary title with us.

A look into the near future of FGC favorites:

Capcom continues the Friday Showcase excitement with their developer panel at 3:00 PM. The team unveiled the roadmap for Street Fighter 6 earlier this year. With the first DLC character Rashid recently released, the support has only just begun for Street Fighter 6! Come on down and see what Capcom’s cooking!

Bandai Namco Entertainment brings TEKKEN 8 to the party at 4:00 PM. T8 has impressed with the trailers so far. What could be in store at Evo 2023? Find out during the Friday Showcase and play a preview at the Bandai Namco Entertainment booth!

The finale of our 2023 Friday Showcase is a special Killer Instinct 10-Year Anniversary Invitational! Four of the best players from KI’s history take the stage as Rico Suave, Hollywood Sleep, Bass, and Nicky compete in this special exhibition. Join us as we celebrate a decade of this fan-favorite title at 4:40 PM!
